Is this woman the one Lucas has his eye on?
Fearing that Lucas might spot him, James hesitated but ultimately decided to pretend he hadn't seen anything. He would find out who this woman was who had captured Lucas's heart of steel the next time he had a chance!
As Kaitlyn entered the bathroom, a pure and gentle melody drifted from behind her. Suddenly, her vision darkened, and she collapsed softly to the ground.
Lucas's large hand reached out from behind her, wrapping around her slender waist. He swiftly lifted her up and carried her, striding towards the elevator that led directly to the top floor.
Inside the luxurious suite on the top floor of the club, Lucas entered with Kaitlyn in his arms. He turned on only a dim night light, casting a warm and intimate glow that allowed him to clearly see the beautiful woman unconscious on the bed.
Lucas's thin lips were tightly pressed together, and beads of sweat had suddenly appeared on his forehead. His eyes glowed in the darkness. His chest heaved with heavy breathing, and when he realized he was about to lose control, he sat up abruptly and quickly reached into his suit pocket, pulling out a packet of pills and swallowing them.
After a long while, he finally let out a heavy sigh and spread his arms, hugging her tightly to him. Through the thin shirt that separated them, he could still clearly feel her presence, so real.
His voice was hoarse and low as he hugged her close, "This time, I won't let you escape again."
After a while, Lucas helped Kaitlyn put her dress back on and wiped away the traces of kisses from her red lips.
Half an hour later.
Kaitlyn was woken up by Sophia, "Kaitlyn, how did you fall asleep on the bar?"
"Huh? I fell asleep?" Kaitlyn rubbed her sleepy eyes with her fingers and looked around in confusion, "Didn't I go to the bathroom?"
She remembered being in the bathroom and then suddenly everything went black. And then...there was nothing after that.
Sophia rubbed Kaitlyn's cheek, "Did you sleepwalk?"
"I don't think so." Kaitlyn pondered for a moment, "I'm sure I blacked out in the bathroom and then woke up here."
Sophia asked the bartender behind the bar, "Did she walk here and fall asleep?"
Hearing their conversation, the bartender immediately joked, "Or do you think someone kidn*pped her?"
The bartender smiled on the surface but felt uneasy inside. Thinking of the indifferent and dignified man who had brought this long-dressed lady over earlier, he silently apologized to Kaitlyn in his heart.
Such a man, as a mere bartender, he really couldn't afford to mess with!
Sophia shrugged, "See, you must have been sleepwalking. Let's go home and sleep."
"Maybe so." Kaitlyn couldn't think of anything else. She seemed to have the impression of walking through the corridor, so maybe she was just too tired and sleepwalked.
Outside the club, the lights were bright.
The figures of Kaitlyn and Sophia slowly emerged from the club's entrance, passing by a low-key black business car parked under a tall and intricate column.
It didn't attract their attention.
Inside the car, Ethan, the driver, nervously asked Lucas, "Lucas, why didn't you offer Miss Miller a ride earlier? It would have been a good opportunity to make an impression."
Lucas leaned back against the seat, his fingers crossed on his knees. After the figures outside disappeared completely, his thin lips curved up slightly, "There's no rush."
Such a timid rabbit, if pushed too hard, might jump the wall in desperation.
The car fell silent for a moment, and then a low and hoarse voice echoed, "After all, haste makes waste."
