Chapter 2:

Marie P.O.V Tamara already gave her opinion on Zayden the very first day we started working here. She felt like he was just a spoiled brat of an Alphas son and that he just wanted to make fun of the industry as long as he could. Tamara had no respect for any wolf he decided to diss the food industry. In Tamara’s eyes, making food was like an art, and hell have mercy of the wolf who decided to tell her differently. Allison, the head of the waiters came walking into the kitchen, on her usual mission. He had a tray full of empty plates and dumped them right in Zayden’s lap. “Get back to work, those needs to be washed. Tamara, the customers are complaining that the food is taking way too long to get to them, I can clearly see why they are complaining because you are sitting here chit chatting away like you are on your lunch break! And you two!”Allison said, pointing at myself and Zoe. “There are new customers who have just walked in. I cant welcome everyone who comes right in, give them their menus and waiting on them. I know I have been in this industry long before the two of you have been, but you work for your money and don’t make me even give you a warning!” Allison said, snapping her fingers, and spinning around on her heels, walking back out onto the floor again. She always thought that she was the boss of this place whenever Zoe’s grandmother wasn’t around. “I swear … that woman can make Hitler look like a saint!” Zayden said rolling is eyes and walking back to the washing area. Zoe and I just looked at one another before laughing and getting our aprons again. Walking back onto the floor, I couldn’t help but continuously admire Zucchi. This restaurant as just like your typical small town restaurant but it had so much heart. It didn’t leave much to wonder why it was as busy as it was during the holidays. Zoe’s grandfather passed away about ten years ago, and her grandmother could function on her own after that. Eventually she decided to open Zucchi, as some sort of distraction. I remember her telling us the first day we were here that it was always her dream to open her very own restaurant, and today, about thirty years later, her restaurant was thriving. Zucchi was a burger restaurant but we had some different options on the menu as well. I know the pizzas here were good as well. Tamara liked to experiment with all the different kinds of flavours that she could put on the burgers. The walls of the restaurant was painted a vibrant red with some funky buns on the wall as well. The wall which held the entrance door was painted green with some fries on it. If you would have asked any corporate type of wolf, they would have said that a child had managed to paint this restaurant, but to everyone around here, this place was home. There were huge seawater tanks all over the restaurant which had a vast variety of fish in it that came from the sea.
