Chapter 12: Earthly Concerns I left Barrett’s apartment in a daze. I don’t remember much about the drive home except that with each mile I felt like I was forgetting something. I kept looking in the rear view mirror expecting to see something following me. My arm ached and try as I might I couldn’t remember how I had gotten the scratches on my arm.
