Maya's eyes locked onto Kuroba's, her mind racing with the implications of the phone call. "We need to get to the bottom of this," she said, her voice firm. "I want you to track down the source of that call. Now."
Kuroba nodded and quickly got to work, his fingers flying across his phone's keyboard as he worked to track down the caller's location.
Maya, meanwhile, couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She glanced around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Still, the feeling persisted.
As she waited for Kuroba to finish tracking down the caller's location, Maya's mind began to wander back to the case. She thought about the cryptic messages, the strange symbols, and the eerie feeling that seemed to permeate every aspect of the investigation.
And then, just as she was starting to piece together the clues, Kuroba's voice cut through the air. "I've got something," he said, his eyes locked onto Maya's. "The caller's location is... the Tokyo Tower."
Maya's eyes widened in surprise. "The Tokyo Tower?" she repeated. "What's the significance of that?"
Kuroba shrugged. "I don't know, but I think we should check it out. Now."
Maya nodded, and together they set off towards the Tokyo Tower, their hearts pounding with anticipation. As they walked, Maya couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being led into a trap.
But she was determined to see this through. She was determined to catch the killer, no matter what it took.
As they approached the Tokyo Tower, Maya's eyes scanned the area, searching for any signs of the killer. And then, just as they were about to enter the tower, she saw it. A small, cryptic message scrawled on the wall.
"The game begins," it read.
Maya's heart skipped a beat. The game had indeed begun. And she was ready to play.
