Ella's POV Declined. Lydia went rigid. "Try it again." The cashier nodded and swiped it again. Declined. A nervous hush descended on the boutique. The cashier glanced at Lydia's uncertainty. Lydia's face flushed. "That's impossible," she snarled, snatching the card back. "Try it one more time." The cashier hesitated, then swiped it a third time. Declined. Lydia's hands were trembling.
