The thought of Dominic finding Ella before me made my blood boil. If he got to her first, she’d run straight into his arms like the pathetic little fool she was. And then? He’d protect her. He’d never let anyone touch her.
I couldn’t let that happen.
I took a deep breath, forcing myself to stay calm. “First, we figure out what happened to Janis. If she’s been caught, we need to cover our tracks.”
Marcus nodded. “And if Dominic is getting close to Ella?”
A cold smile spread across my lips. “Then we get to her first. And this time, we will finish her for good.”
I tapped my fingers against my lap as the car moved toward Dominic’s house. My mind was racing with different scenarios, but I knew one thing for sure, we had to be smart about this.
“Let’s pretend to visit Dominic,”
