Dominic’s POV I sat up slowly, still holding Ella close to my chest. Her skin was cold with sweat, and her breathing was shaky, but I could feel her heart beating against mine. She hadn’t said anything in days—had barely looked at anyone. But now, she’d screamed my name in her sleep. She’d begged for help. And that meant something.
