By the next morning, things began to feel almost normal, but somehow there was still a stranger who could be in danger lying unconsciously on our kitchen floor. We had moved the stranger to the small guest room off the hallway last night, but this morning Lena had insisted on bringing him to the kitchen so she could keep a closer eye on him while she worked.
