The woodshop was usually the one place where Theo could clear his mind, but today, he could not focus. He had stayed back after the final bell to finish up some work, but his thoughts were entirely fixed on Leo. He kept planning what to say to him, how to corner him, and how to tell him to stay away from Mia.
He packed his things and slung his backpack over his shoulder. The school was getting empty, and the hallways were quiet. As he walked toward the main exit, he heard footsteps coming behind him.
"Theo! Wait up!"
He turned around and saw Jenny walking fast down the hallway. She looked stressed, and she was holding her phone tightly. The usual happy energy she had was completely gone.
"Jenny? What’s wrong?" Theo asked, stopping near the doors.
"Have you seen Mia today?" Jenny asked
