She walked away at a fast pace, making sure not to make any noise so as not to attract anybody's attention. The hallway felt longer than usual tonight. She could still hear the muffled crying behind the closed door, and every sob made the resentment in her chest burn hotter.
“My girl… where are you?” The words hit her so hard, if Liora was there she could try to rip her apart.
