Jared walked the hallway, following Serenity's scent. He came to look for her because she had been gone awhile, and the pain was coming back because they were not in the same veracity.
Jared paused in his steps when he found her. Serenity was seated on the floor, with her head in her arms.
"Serenity!What's wrong? Are you in pain?" Jared rushed towards her and knelt beside her, placing his hand on her shoulder.
Serenity rose her head and looked at him. She looked rattled as if she were in shock or disbelief. This made Jared cautious as he wondered what happened to her in the few minutes they had been apart.
