The discussion have ended. Everyone is currently taking a break to prepare for the upcoming practice matches.
Yoru is at the tree enjoying his free time. He doesn't want to be disturbed and so he had the thought of climbing up the tree.
Minutes later, a person spotted him and started calling him.
"Shu, come down here"! Mitsuya said while waving to Shu.
Shu woke up from his slumber and then looked down to see who's the one that's calling him.
"Ohh, Senior, you've come to find me? But why"? Yoru asked.
"I have some food here. Come down and let's eat".
Shu came down quickly.
"Then Senior, why would you spend your time with some first year like me rather than spend your time with your classmates"?
"Oh, about that, I've heard that you almost got into a fight with the heir of Ichijou".
"How did you know that"?
"Oh, your teacher told me. Yua told me about it".
"Wait, Yua? Are you some sort of relatives or-"
"She's just 2 years ahead of me in age and we're good friends. Oh, I'm also from the Four Great Families, the Mitsuya Family. We specialize in water magic".
"Wait, just how many of the students here are from the Four Great Families. It's just my first day here and yet I've already encountered three mages that are from the Four Great Families".
But still, Yoru managed to retain his composure about the things he is hearing.
"The Mitsuya Family is famous for healing right"? Shu asks.
"Yeah, but when it comes to healing magic, no one can beat the Futatsugi Family. They are the family who specialize in Wood and Earth Magic. The ones who have enough talent can even attain the World Tree Magic and it's known for its wide pool of spells when it comes to healing".
"Oh, Senior, is there a student here whose from the Futatsugi Family"?
"Yeah, he's in the second year but his World Tree Magic is very different among the others. He does have some healing spells but his magic centers on attack spells".
"Guess he is a talented person huh".
"Enough with the chitchat, let's eat now".
"Thank you for the food".
After eating for a couple of minutes, Yoru got full.
"Thanks for the treat, Senior".
"Oh now don't mind the Senior, just call me Sora even though we're inside the school".
"Yes. You got it Sora! Thanks for the treat".
"Well then, we still have practice matches after this so I shall keep going. Thanks for the food. See you"!
"Goodluck with the matches"! Sora replied.
The practice matches will be held at the school ground. Yoru just arrived at the said place.
"Shu". Riku said as he approached Shu with seriousness drawn over his face.
"What does the heir of the Ichijou Family want with me"?
"Don't fail me. I have high expectations for you".
"Where is this coming from"?
"I'm just saying it. I'm tired of weak opponents".
"What's wrong with him"?
"Okay then, I will now announce the pairing for the practice match today. Practice matches are held daily and is used to determine whether you are worthy of being the one to represent the class for the upcoming tournament here in school. We will choose the students who will represent the school in the grand tournament that is held yearly, the Magic Competition".
"So this is what the practice matches are about".
"Thirty-two schools will compete in this tournament to fight for the glory. Also, the Magic Knights Captains and the Wizard King will be watching this so if you'll ever be one of the candidates, give your best and you might be picked by a Captain or even best, the Wizard King itself".

"So, do your best in every practice matches so that you can represent this class and get the chance to participate in the tournament. Understood"?
"Yes"! The class replied lively.
"Well then, the first one to fight off for our practice matches is the transfer student, Shu Iwasaki".
"So I get to battle first huh. I wonder who's gonna be my opponent"'.
"And you will battle against Akari Futatsugi".
"Huh, a Futatsugi? I thought that he's in second year. Sora didn't told me that there's a Futatsugi here at first year".
"Now step up and prepare".
"So she's a girl. Sora told me that the one whose in the second year can use attack spells with his World Tree Magic".
"Even though this one just uses Wood or Earth Magic, I mustn't underestimate her since she is a Futatsugi".
"Earth is weak against lightning but the wood magic is not. Now, I wonder what her magic attribute is".
"Let's have a good match, Shu". Akari said.
"It will be an honor to be up against one of the member of the Four Great Families. I will live up to your expectations".
"Guess you guys are now prepared huh. Then, let the match begin"!
Then the match has begun. Shu moved backward since he doesn't know what is the magic attribute of her enemy.
Meanwhile, Akari isn't doing anything at all.
"Why is she not doing anything? Maybe she's already casting a spell but where? I can't keep running like this forever. I must figure out what's her magic attribute so that I can make up a plan".
