nocking on Nick’s door,
I reached to rub my face roughly as I waited for him to answer. Hannah wasn’t answering my texts at all now, and the knot in my chest grew tighter. I’d f****d up- I knew that.
But I couldn’t even catch her to fix things, and it was irritating.
The door swung open before I could stew on it, and I instantly rolled my eyes at Nick’s shirtless form. For a man on top of the world, he couldn’t even find a shirt to wear.
“If this is about Hannah, I really don’t want to hear it, James.” Stopping me before I had a chance to open my mouth, Nick scowled as he leaned on the doorframe. “I heard all about your little blunder- I told you this was going to happen. You need to get over it… and that’s all I’ve got to say on the subject.”
