Even though I know this will be a hard pill for you to swallow, I’d like to offer some perspective. Millions of people die every day on this planet. Or, to say it with a cliché, death is the only certainty we have in life. The biggest uncertainty is that we don’t know when or how we will die. I have chosen to take that uncertainty away. Not because the not knowing was driving me crazy, but because I didn’t want to wait anymore. Because I’ve had enough. But please try to look at it this way. If I’d had a terminal physical illness, you would be able to accept this better. Because you would comfort yourself with the knowledge that all avenues for getting better had been exhausted.
