The forest felt too still as he sprinted through the darkness, his paws kicking up mud with every pound they made against the wet dirt below them. The trunks of the trees around him blurred in his peripherals. His wolf’s heart raced in anticipation and excitement as he could feel himself growing increasingly closer to his destination; Axel could sense the negative vibrations in the air.
