Chapter 22 ***Hazel’s POV*** She waited for Dei to finish the dishes from making them lunch, with her head face down on the counter in absolute agony at having nothing to do for ten solid minutes. He wouldn’t allow her to assist him with the china as he washed, dried, and put them away alone. She would occasionally tilt her head without lifting it and notice Dei staring out the small window just above the white ceramic sink as if he were deep in thought.
