***Nite’s POV***
Volkov’s growl echoed in Nite’s head with every move made towards him. As Kyton neared, Nite turned sideways just in time to keep the boy’s filthy hand from touching Hazel; who was still cradled unconscious in his arms.
“Let me take her.” He stated, point blank as if it had been an order for Nite to follow, making him internally laugh. A disgusted scowl formed on his face as he glowered down at Kyton as if the demand was actually getting fulfilled.
“No.” He replied simply. Power radiating through his voice.
