***Nite’s POV***
Stay out of my head, hybrid. Vuk’s voice shot through Volkov’s mind like a charged bullet, but he only chuckled at his brother. The white wolf snapped his jaws in warning towards Volkov and Vuk lowered his head angrily when Nite’s wolf didn’t make a move. Nite knew he and his wolf needed to buy Heath some time to return with Silver as well as give Val’kyana a moment to gather their own plan.
“Leave my mate and pack alone and perhaps I’ll consider it.” The snarl in response to Nite’s wolf attempting a negotiation was no surprise. Both Nite and Volkov knew Dei and his wolf were just as stubborn. One of the few things they had in common was their skill at butting heads, “then it seems we’re at an impasse.”
