Season 1: The last dragon

He changed his clothes and went down to the tavern. Our hero approached the bartender, who looked at them in shock and said, "It happened again." Our hero didn't answer, only nodded, and then ordered some food for two. The bartender brought the food and then sat down with them at the table, sighed, and said, "What should we name her? We can't just not name her." Our hero looked at the little girl and saw that she was watching him expectantly, as if she had been waiting for this moment for a long time. He muttered, "How should I know what to name her? I have no experience naming people. Besides, this isn't our only problem. Haven't you noticed she gets older every time? Won't she become an old woman in a year?" Then he turned to the girl and asked, "Where did you come from? How did you learn to speak in such a short time?" Tears streamed down Lilith's face, and she hid behind the bartender, saying sadly, "Daddy is scary." The bartender looked at our hero angrily, hinting that he should calm her down. Without thinking, our hero said to the girl, "I'm sorry, Lilith, for yelling at you. I was tired and couldn't control myself." He didn't know where the name came from or how he said it. The girl looked at him, hiccupping with snot coming out of her nose, smiling and saying, "I'm Lilith. My name is Lilith. Thank you, Daddy, for giving me such a beautiful name." Then she went to him and hugged him. Our hero didn't pay much attention to it because Lilith's smile made him forget about everything, thinking to himself, "When will I stop worrying about everything? I should just enjoy these moments with happiness." The bartender stood up and brought an old book, then said, "While you were gone, I was researching Lilith's case. It seems you've become the father of the last dragon on earth. This explains the markings, her rapid growth, and her extraordinary intelligence, which allowed her to learn human language in just two days." Our hero, shocked, replied, "A dragon? Aren't those mythical creatures that possess all knowledge on earth and have the power to destroy and control everything? If they existed, how did they become extinct? And if Lilith is a dragon, shouldn't we assume there are many other dragons?" The bartender closed the book and then answered while looking at a glass of water on the table, "The existence of this dragon is a mistake in the laws of causality. It seems Lilith is the type that has the ability to control time, and her travel to this era is strange. To bring her here, it seems they needed to sacrifice a lot. And as everything is destined, finding her here is also due to fate. The reason for the extinction of dragons..." Then he suddenly fell silent and, looking at Lilith, changed the subject, "It seems you need to go with Lilith to buy some new clothes." Our hero stood up and said, "You're right, I need to buy some clothes too." The bartender stopped him and asked, "Wait, what's your name? Isn't it good for me to know your name? We've spent six months together, isn't it strange that we don't know each other's names?" Light smiled and said, "You're right. I don't even know your name. By the way, my name is Light. And you, what's your name, bartender?" The bartender laughed and replied, "Light? It seems fate made us opposites in everything, even names. As my words suggest, my name is Dark." Light started laughing with him too, until Lilith interrupted their laughter, saying, "When are we going to buy new clothes, Daddy?" Light looked at Lilith, smiling, and said, "We're going now, Lilith, let's go." Light and Lilith left the tavern and headed to the market. The market was filled with people strolling between the stalls and shops. The air was filled with the smell of fresh food, drinks, and the overlapping voices of vendors calling out their goods. Light stopped in front of a stall selling clothes. The vendor was an elderly woman with a friendly look. "Hello, how can I help you today?" the vendor asked. Light replied, "We need some new clothes for the girl here, and for myself too." The vendor looked at Lilith with love and affection and said, "Oh, what a beautiful girl. Come in, we have many options." Lilith began to browse through the various clothes and chose a beautiful blue dress adorned with flowers. "Daddy, can I have this?" Lilith asked. Light smiled and said, "Of course, anything you want, Lilith." Light then chose some new clothes for himself too. After finishing their shopping, Light paid the vendor and thanked her. They left the market and returned to the tavern where they found Dark waiting for them. "We're back," Light said with a smile. Dark looked at Lilith and said, "You look wonderful, Lilith." Lilith smiled and said, "Thank you, Uncle Dark." Light looked at Dark and said, "I think my life has become stranger than I ever imagined." Dark laughed and said, "The strangest part hasn't come yet, my friend. The strangest part hasn't come yet." Light and Lilith went up to the room after a long day. Light went to shower, and when he came out, he changed his clothes and headed to the bed where he found Lilith. He looked at her, smiling, until he heard the voice of the parasite from his hand, saying, "Hello, it seems you've forgotten about me." Light replied, "What do you want from me?" The parasite said, "It seems you don't know what kind of mess you've gotten yourself into. You look so calm." Light replied, "I don't understand what you're talking about." The parasite said, "Since our fusion, it seems not only our memories but also our emotions have merged. I've recently started thinking about the bartender and the girl, which is strange, even naming her Lilith." Light, shocked, said, "How did you name Lilith? What do you mean?" The parasite said, "I don't mean anything, just think about where you got that name. It seems I can communicate with you through your mind, and this is what made you grasp the situation this morning." Light said, "It seems I understand now. The longer you stay in my body, the more we become one. You can even control my subconscious. But for some reason, I don't feel angry; it feels like my hand is tickling me, and I'm waiting to laugh. But why did you appear to tell me this?" The parasite replied, "From my previous words, it seems I've acquired some of your emotions, which made me interested in the bartender and this girl. I came to warn you that you need to become strong enough to crush armies alone. By raising a dragon, you've made all creatures your mortal enemies. You've brought back a being capable of controlling the world alone, making all the kings on this continent your enemies. You need to become strong so you don't lose everything again as you did before." Then he continued, "I've currently exhausted my power in healing you, so I need a period to recover. Now, it's all up to you. Do as you wish, but don't regret it later." Then the mouth of the parasite disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared. Our hero looked at Lilith and said, "I can't lose everything again. I need to become stronger. The human race is the weakest on this cursed continent." [to be continued]
