‘’Agnes!’’ Mrs Makaloughson yelled. She was excited that it was Leo who picked up her call. As far as she was concerned, Leo was already her son-in-law, and she didn't even know yet, that he had ever proposed to Marilyn.
‘’Agnes,’’ she yelled again.
Agnes was in her room when she heard her mother's voice, hollering in the air as if something was wrong.
‘’What?’’ she muttered as she went downstairs to see what the problem was.
‘’You will not believe what just happened,’’ Agnes’ mom said to her delightfully, as soon as she saw Agnes.
Agnes raised a suspicious eyebrow. What had the woman done this time? Because there was no trusting Mrs Makaloughson's next move. She had been acting funny since Agnes told her about Leo and Marilyn, and everything that concerned them.
