‘Marilyn, have you not noticed anything different since you came back home?’ Agnes asked her sister. Marilyn had been home for nearly an hour and had not noticed any single change in and outside the house.
Agnes did as much as keep the new car key in an obvious place, but it still managed to get past Marilyn’s attention.
‘Agnes, What? You have been hammering about something being different since I came back, but there’s honestly nothing. I wonder what you think is different here. You came here only a couple of days ago, yet you have already managed to know that something is out of place?’ Marilyn queried.
'You want to place a bet? If there's something different, you get to pay me in some way. Cash or kind,' Agnes bantered with Marilyn.
Marilyn paused and looked at Agnes carefully.
