‘Knock, Ruger,’ Leo ordered his coach.
‘Me?' Ruger asked Leo with wide eyes. 'Hope you will stay in sight so that when she looks through the peephole, she will see both of us,’ he added.
‘Just knock before someone comes to see me standing here,’ Leo yelped at his coach with an urgent tone.
Ruger knocked.
‘She must have gone to bed. If not, she ought to have opened up by now,’ Ruger told Leo while they waited impatiently for Agnes to answer the door.
Ruger was about to knock a second time when the door suddenly swung ajar.
‘Leo,’ Agnes yelped, pulling Leo into the room aggressively.
‘Take it easy, Agnes. I was going to say something later, not just now,’ Leo started to try to vindicate himself before Agnes even said anything to him.
