EKKEHARD POV
“But I didn’t want him to I barely made it out of there Darrel. What if they don’t” She said concerned “AHHHHH, I’m going to the gym, Miles come get me when you are going to do the briefing” she stated and walked away.
“I think I will go and see what that woman can do. Let me know if anything comes up alright?” I said walking out to follow my mate.
‘Mate is human but I can feel something,’ Ely said.
‘What do you mean you feel something?’
‘I don’t know I just feel something different. Keep an eye on mate,’ he said cutting me off so I could concentrate on catching up to her.
When I got to the gym I kept to the shadows not wanting to let her know I was there. She was in the change room and I was hearing murmurs about her and how she should not be there. We will see about that. Shortly after she emerged from the room wearing the most amazing thing, black spandex short shorts that show off her toned legs and a yellow spandex tank top that hugged her curves and left nothing to my imagination.
‘Yeah nothing except the feeling of her underneath us. Mate looks so hot.’ Ely said in my head.
‘You know mutt, we are not the only males here,’ I said interrupting his lustful thoughts making him growl in my head.
He was just as displeased I was thinking about it but I let it slide after hearing her holler at everyone.
“I am not here for your entertainment so I suggest you all divert them wandering eyes before I take them out of their sockets.”
I stood in the shadows while I watched her hitting the bag over and over her face had a mixture of emotions. I wanted to go to her, I wanted to know what happened to her in Caglajan, but I knew she would not be pleased and I certainly don’t want to take the place of that bag. As she continued to hit I see a lone tear slip down her cheek and she was so far in thought that she had no idea.
‘MATE IS BLEEDING’ I suddenly hear Ely snarl at me.
I was so lost staring at her face I had not even noticed that she had not wrapped her hand or worn gloves, and now her knuckles were spewing blood everywhere.
‘Guess now is the time to make myself known,’ I thought.
‘You think? Dumb human.’ Ely said back starting to get excited about being so close to our mate.
I place my hand on her shoulder gently, to get her attention without startling her too much because she is still so deep in thought. She turned to look at me with curiosity in her eye only to follow my gaze that was focused on her hands and understanding finally overtook her features.
“You should calm down Kitten, before you break the bag, and your knuckles.” I said nodding towards her unwrapped hands. Her fists were torn to s**t. She turned her gaze back to the bag and saw the blood, making her chuckle.
“Oops, too deep in thought I guess,” was her response as she walked towards the sink where the first aid kit was.
“Let me help?” I offered but it came out as more of a command and made me flinch. But, she didn’t seem to mind. She was too focused on our connected hands as I carefully cleaned and wrapped them.
“Eh princess,” we hear. Making me look up, and Ely growl, at a young guy walking toward us. “This is no place for a woman. You should go.” He said smugly.
I can feel my eyes go black as I fight to keep Ely from ripping this guy’s throat out.
“Excuse me? Would you like to show me just how much I “don’t belong here” in that ring?” She questioned.
“Why not? Someone’s got to,” he said cockily
“Good. Let’s go then” She said getting up and walking to the ring with him following close behind. Ely didn’t want her to go, he didn’t want anyone to touch her, but hey, dude needs to learn a lesson.
‘He clearly didn’t see what happened this morning,’ Ely chuckled in my mind.
“Let’s go then, Princess. Show me what you got,” he said to her while taking a fighting stance, while she just stood there seeming annoyed.
“You got it,” she said throwing one punch knocking the poor fool out.
‘Mate is amazing!’ Ely said dreamily as I turned my attention to the bench to grab her towel I saw that her phone was ringing.
‘That’s the phone she used to call the informant!’ Ely said. ‘Quick! Take that to her. And don’t forget the towel,’ he added.
“Kitten!” I hollered, running to her. Phone in one hand and towel in the other.
“s**t!” she said.
‘I don’t think she realized she said that out loud’ Ely chuckled.
