Cookie Chapter II
I was waiting just outside Forest’s department, waiting for her to come out while I was holding the sketch she made during Chemistry class. When she walked out of their building, I immediately walked closer to her and lightly poked her by the shoulder. “Hi,” I said, greeting her with a small wave.
She briefly shot me a glare before continuing to walk away, so I tailed her back and followed her track.
“You never mentioned you were an artist.”
“Why do you think I’m under fine arts and design?”
I was caught off-guard with her answer. That made sense. That was rather a stupid question from me. My bad. “It kinda slipped my mind.”
She ignored me. She does a great job at it too.
“S-So…” I started again, stammering this time because she didn’t seem to be in a very good mood at the moment – very bad mood than most times. “I found this in the lecture room during Chemistry class.” I said, pulling out the crumpled sketch she threw out.
She halted from her tracks and turned to the sheet I was showing her. “Why do you have that?”
“You threw it away. I was curious so I took it…”
She rolled her eyes, shaking her head and continued walking. She was really going to ignore and avoid for as much as she can, but I wasn’t going to give up for it.
“It’s very…” I paused for a moment, gripping the strap of my bag as I walked to match her pace. “Deep and interesting.” I said, completing my sentence. “Is this some kind of—”
“Quit it,”
I gulped. Her tone was serious. I knew it and I wasn’t insensitive enough to push through my question. I guess it was something personal for her. And I don’t want to push buttons that might hurt her.
