According to the research Mouse had brought back, Lucy was married, to a cop at that, and they had a child.
There was no way I was going amidst of them to stop her excitement, she had a family and i wasn’t going to ruin it for her, but perhaps it will never be the same for me, I will never look at any other woman as I looked at her. Or lay beside someone and consider them mine.
But I was okay with baring the pain of watching her win or build her life from the sidelines, after all, that’s what love is, watching the person you love make it in life from the sidelines or with them.
