Let's get you a wedding dress

Amelia tossed on the bed kicking the duvet away as she yawned. The ray of the early morning sun brushed on her eyes from the opened window blind and she groaned. Did she sleep that much? She pondered stepping out of bed while stretching her arms widely. Her legs moved lightly on the brown lush carpet on her way to the ensuite, was she always this slow while walking or was it because of her sickness? She sighed knowing she had always been like this, and her sickness only complimented it. No wonder they nicknamed her Snail back at her pack. Her eyes darted in shock seeing how frail she looked in the mirror, her gown hung loose on her shoulders, her blue eyes sunken with her lips looking scraped off, she sniffed back the tears threatening to fall. Nova spoiled her life and she would never forgive her. She slipped out of her clothes when she saw it, a straight scar on her neck and eyes widened, reality setting in. King wanted to know about the scar on her neck. She had this when Nova tore her skin with a knife when she refused to accept Thomas as her Alpha. The phase was tough on her then but she survived eventually. It hurt that King could send her out over a mere scar, she must have been repulsive to him. She stepped into the shower with a sad sigh. Of course, she was an ugly wolf filled with scars. It was normal for him to be repulsive of her, she just needed to hide her scars from him if she wanted to survive here. She wondered why he agreed to be with her when he could have anyone. She pushed the thought away and focused on her bath, which she finished within a short time, and threw on a loose gown to hide her frail structure. She should be grateful for whoever filled her closet with clothes of different sizes. She roamed her eyes through her room and felt at peace, this was the only thing she loved most here; her personal place. How good would it be if she could get paint and draw on the white walls? A knock from the door pulled her away from the thought. Her heart skipped a beat wondering who it could be, but she answered anyway. "Come in." Amelia exhaled in relief when Hazel walked in elegantly, the blue gown she wore fitted her perfectly highlighting her shape. She loved the white pearls Hazel adored her hair with. "Hazel," She greeted with a smile, moving away from the bed. "Amy," She called with a smile of her own, walking towards Amelia. Amelia's eyes widened when Hazel grabbed her shoulders and spun her around. Her hazel eyes roamed around her like an eagle. "Well…you will recover in no time." She shrugged with a smile. Amelia swallowed her lump speechless, why was Hazel being nice to her? "Thank you." She muttered. Hazel moved a bit back and smiled widely at Amelia. "So I bought you some food according to your diet and drugs." She announced before turning to the maid who accompanied her. "Place them at that coffee table and excuse us." Her sharp voice filled the room as she gave the order. Amelia arched her brow confused. "New diet as how?" Hazel laughed, pulling her to the couch opposite the bed. "Did you wanna stay this way for life?" Amelia sighed, "Nope but I'm…scared." She didn't want to sound ungrateful but she was genuinely afraid, what if something happened again? "Don't worry, King's doctor specifically picked this out, nothing would happen to you. Amelia's mouth opened slightly. "King's doctor? Why did he do that?" Hazel shrugged standing up. "Leave that and eat, it's getting cold already." She pushed the table to her and fixed her a smile. "Try it." Amelia exhaled scared but she trusted Hazel so she grabbed the spoon and started eating. Soon, she finished eating and surprisingly it wasn't that bad. "Thank you." She muttered to Hazel as the maid cleared the dishes Hazel shrugged. "It's nothing, I was only carrying out a message after all." 'A message? By who?' Amelia wondered but said nothing, Hazel must have said that so she wouldn't feel indebted towards her. Hazel stood up, her face lit up with a smile. "Get ready, we are going to shop for your wedding dress." Amelia flies to her feet, "Wedding dress?" Her eyes bulged out, wasn't this a contracted relationship? "Why…this wasn't necessary." "What did you mean? Is it because my brother is cold and you didn't meet him yourself?" She pouted and grabbed her hands. "I told you to open your heart to him. Amelia, stop judging him based on rumors." Amelia rubbed her temple feeling guilty. "That is…not it." She wished she could tell her that it was because of the contract. King and her could never be together. She shook her head with a smile. "Never mind, I will get ready." "Good." Hazel jumped up like a baby. "Let me get ready." And before Amelia could talk, she had sped out of the room while giggling. Amelia sighed walking to the closet, "She is going to be very sad after finding out that I will be leaving in the next two years." ____ "You should consider packing your hair Amy, it will highlight your face," Hazel pointed out as they climbed down the stairs. Amelia brushed her hair from her face. "I don't know, maybe some other time." Amelia shrugged knowing she would never do that, her scars would be visible which she wouldn't allow. "Good, it will__ "It will what?" Amelia turned to her and stopped talking seeing that someone was mindlinking her. She rested on the handrail exhausted from climbing the long spiral case, her eyes roamed around, the palace was such a beautiful place. "Amy, I'm coming now." Hazel rushed her words before speeding upstairs. "Wow," She muttered, staring at her. 'Does she always run like that?' She thought climbing down the stairs and sitting on the couch. So far so good, Alexander's pack was better than her pack, and everyone was nice to her except Alpha King which wasn't surprising. She wasn't expecting him to warm up to her. Her hands subconsciously went to her neck and shivered, why on earth was she having goosebumps just from remembering his touch from yesterday? "Miss…miss." The light touch on Amelia's thigh shifted her gaze to the floor. Her eyes widened seeing a little girl who couldn't be more than three years old staring at her with the widest beautiful hazel eyes she had ever seen. "Oh my! You are so cute!" Her eyes lit up as she placed her on her thigh. "What is your name?" She asked brushing back her wavy black hair from her face. "Halo," Her soft voice made Amelia gasp. Her voice was so sweet that her heart melted. "Your name is as beautiful as you Halo." Halo giggled, touching Amelia's hair. "Thank you, and…you are beau__ti "I'm beautiful?" Amelia finished realizing she was struggling with the word, Halo nodded and was about to speak up when a loud voice yelled. "Halo!" Hazel panted rushing to her. "You are here, I have been looking for you." "Mommy!" Halo giggled rushing to her. Amelia's mouth dropped. What? Hazel is a mother? She watched as she hugged Halo tightly to her chest and saw the resemblance. They had the same eyes and hair. Hazel dropped Halo to the ground and fixed a surprised gaze at Amelia. "She was with you?" She blinked back in surprise. Halo had never allowed anyone to be with her except her and King. Halo's nanny had mind-linked her earlier that she ran away crying. Who the hell was this lady? Amelia stood up staring at her confused. "Yes, she just got here. Is there any problem?" "No." Hazel shook her head with a smile and exhaled. "Nothing, I will drop her off with her nanny and we can go." Halo shook her head pointing at Amelia. "I want to follow Miss Mommy." "Let her," Amelia interjected quickly before Hazel could disagree leaving Hazel speechless. Hazel exhaled, having no choice. "Okay, let's go then."
