Meeting The Alpha

Amelia "I'm done," The maid announced adding the final touch to Amelia's hair. Amelia smiled at her, "Thank you," Amelia muttered and the maid bowed before leaving her alone. The door flung open almost immediately as the maid shut it revealing a twenty-three years old beautiful lady, Mila; Thomas' mate, and the Luna. She stood abruptly running her eyes on Amelia and scoffed. "So you can be as beautiful as this." Her mocking laughed traveled through the room as she sashayed toward Amelia. "I never knew my rag would fit you this much." Amelia's eyes stung with tears as she looked at the dress in the mirror, her eyes couldn't recognize the beauty she saw. The red plungering neckline gown hugged her body and accentuated her beautiful curves. The long-net sleeves covered the fading scars on her arms, the gown was beautiful but it was nothing but a hand-me-gown from Mila, she rolled her eyes before shifting her gaze to Mila. "What are you doing here, Mila?" Mila gasped placing her hand on her chest at Amelia's audacity. "You are so stupid for asking your Luna that question." She hissed locking her cold gaze with Amelia, "You should be grateful I came to greet you for the last time idiot." Amelia's heart stung at her insult, she wasn't expecting anything good to come from her like always, just that today, she felt the urge to reply to her first sentence and ignored the rest. "I know right, better than it could fit you." She curled her lips into an innocent smile and spun around for her not minding the killer looks sent her way. "I look beautiful." Mila balled her fists beside her and closed the gap between them. "You b***h! You should be glad Thomas said not to touch you." She gritted her teeth, before taking a step back, and let out a wide smile as she walked towards the door while facing her. "I heard your soon-to-be husband is an ugly monster, he killed without mercy and doesn't show pity, and I'm very sure your corpse will be the one sent back to us." She spit before banging the door closed, her laugh echoing through the silent hallway. Amelia took a deep breath, fear tingling on her skin. 'Should she run away?' The thought came to her for a second but she shook it out immediately. No, she should do this for her father and the people. "Don't let me die in his hand." She muttered a short prayer to the moon goddess before stepping out of the room. The family was already waiting for her in the driveway which was surprising, she expected them not to care at all. Mila stood beside Nova, clutching her arm tightly just to spite her, Thomas who was beside Mila rolled his eyes in disgust upon sighting her and her heart shattered. She averted her gaze from them to the tall man in uniform, which she assumed to be the driver standing by the car, and soon she realized that he was to replace the beta who couldn't make it as well, a heart shattered knowing she wasn't that important to them also, they had to send a mere driver to get her. She sighed sadly before walking to the driver, "I'm ready." "We won't be attending the wedding," Nova spoke up breaking the eerie silence, and Amelia could hear the driver gasping quietly behind her. "Why?" Amelia's voice was choked with tears, that was the only they could do for her after selling her off. "We have the resources now." Alpha King would have given Thomas huge money, the pack debt would have been covered, and within two years after her father's death, they mishandled the funds by buying irrelevant things. Nova released a sad sigh. "You know Mila is pregnant, the pack doctor said she should have enough rest," She explained in a sad voice, to show sympathy to Amelia while she rubbed Mila's arm instead. Amelia looked at barely showing Mila and shook her head completely speechless on what to say. "Okay." She accepted not ready to hear more lies again. "Let's go." She whispered to the driver, that if she stayed any minute more here, she might end up crying. Luckily, the driver understood her plight as he pulled the door open for her and walked back to his seat. They were about to drove out when Thomas ordered the driver to stop, her heart skipped a bit as he sauntered to the car, she knew his words would hurt, but she had no choice but to listen, he was still her Alpha. Thomas crouched down to her level and poked his head into the car. "I know this won't last, either he killed you or sent you back, and I will be waiting for then so I can have you all I want." He whispered into her ears before flashing her a smile. "Bye, little sister." Tears dropped from her face as she shut her eyes tight while turning away from him. "Please drive." Her voice was choked with tears which fell freely from her eyes as they drove out of the gate, not an individual wished her well in the pack. The only person who wished her well died recently, her nanny. She wished she was still alive, at least she would have hugged her tightly and told her that everything would be okay. ___ It wasn't until three days later that they entered Alpha King's pack, she never knew it was that far. The Alexander pack turned out to be far bigger than hers, it then clear to her why he was the Alpha governor. Aside from the pack being bigger than hers, they had many facilities, Amelia had counted five big hospitals as they drove in, whereas they had one tiny hospital back at her pack. They spent another three hours on the road before they arrived at the palace. She stepped out of the car gently with a deep sigh. "Good luck." She heard driver's wishes before he dropped zoomed off. She stared at the car bewildered, that was the first word he said to her since the journey, no matter how much she tried to engage him in a conversation. Her heart thumped loudly in her chest as she stood in the middle of the big compound not knowing where to go. Her eyes roamed around the big white palace, she had never seen any house as gigantic as that. Having four stories, with beautiful architecture. A man and woman started to approach her, and she could feel their powerful aura from afar. A tall broad man dressed in a black suit, his face hardened like it was made out of stone, yet he looked gorgeous. 'Is that the Alpha?' She thought rubbing her sweaty palm on her cloth. Her eyes moved to the woman walking along with him, it amazed her how the petite woman carried herself, so small yet looked gracefully. They stopped before her and she moved two steps back. The woman stretched her lips into a moderate smile. "Welcome, I'm Hazel, the Alpha's sister. " She introduced extending her hand to her. "Nice to meet you," Amelia collected her handshake with the same smile before turning to the man beside her. "He is the Alpha's beta Lopez," Hazel added turning to the huge man. "Nice to meet you, I'm Amelia. Princess of__" "We know," Lopez cut her off and she shrunken backward with at his snap. "Now let's take you to the Alpha, he is waiting for you," Lopez said impatiently which made her heart skip twice. Amelia's heart beat loudly as she walked behind both of them, her steps faltered behind them but they said nothing. She had a lot on her mind, What if the Alpha killed her because of her ugly look? People do say that she is a beauty, but her beauty would be nothing compared to the Alpha's standard. They stopped in front of a mahogany brown door, two guards were standing outside the door and they bowed to Lopez and Hazel before stepping aside for them. Taking a deep breath, she trailed after them. The Alpha was seated behind a huge desk with his back turned at her, his shoulders bulged from the black shirt, and his right sleeve was rolled up to his elbow showing the glittering watch on his wrist. "She is here Alpha," Lopez announced and slowly he turned to her. Her eyes bulge out seeing the Alpha, "He is the Alpha!" She shouted.
