Hours later, the concert came to an end and people filed out of the hall. Lilith couldn't find the courage to look Dion in the face, not after what just happened.
She made an attempt to leave the hall without him but he grabbed onto her hand. Now they walked out hand in hand with an awkward silence playing between them.
Once they were out and by Dion's car, he broke the silence.
"I'm not sorry for kissing you and I know you didn't hate it."
She was silent, unable to refute what he'd said.
"What do I have to do for you to accept me, Lilith. Tell me! I'll do anything!" He took hold of her other hand, squeezing it tightly but not enough to hurt. "I love you Lilith. I've never wanted anything this much before." He brought her hand to his chest, just above his heart.
