The darkness surrounding them did nothing but spike her anxiety. Knowing the man she feared so much was right before her spooked her to no end but being unable to see him was an even more terrible feeling. She heard his footsteps as he walked around the cage to the area she currently stood.
When she felt his presence behind her, she jolted away in fright once again.
