Old Mrs. Elijah had been worried that Jeff's people would find Kourtney. However, she was relieved to see that they had searched for half a day and found nothing. She had a smug smile on her face.
Old Mr. Elijah looked at her angrily. "Where the hell did you hide someone?"
"Where could I hide her?" old Mrs. Elijah said sarcastically, "I called her over and tried to teach her some rules, but she was very rude and didn't want to listen to me teach. And left."
"You mean, she left?"
"Yep! She didn't want to see me as a grandmother at all. I didn't want to see her either. Where the hell she went, I don't know."
Bella ran over and said, "I heard her arguing with Grandma, and then later she left."
