The café’s walls seemed to blur, the world narrowing down to just Evelyn and Alexander. Their hands remained clasped, fingers entwined like ancient vines. The manuscript lay forgotten, its ink waiting for their next move.
Alexander leaned closer, his breath warm against her skin. “Evelyn,” he murmured, “do you believe in magic?”
She blinked, caught off guard by the question. “Magic?” she echoed. “What do you mean?”
He gestured toward the manuscript. “This,” he said. “The way it brought us together, the way it whispers our names. It’s more than ink and paper. It’s a spell—a connection that defies time and reason.”
Evelyn studied him. His eyes held centuries of longing, a hunger that mirrored her own. “What are we, Alexander?” she whispered. “Who were we before?”
He traced a finger along her jawline, leaving a trail of fire. “Lovers,” he said. “Cursed lovers. Bound by fate, torn apart by destiny. But this time, Evelyn, we have a choice.”
She leaned into his touch, her heart pounding. “A choice?”
He nodded. “We can break the curse,” he said. “We can unravel the threads that bind us. But it won’t be easy. We’ll face trials, temptations, and ancient magic.”
Evelyn’s mind raced. “And if we fail?”
Alexander’s gaze never wavered. “Then we’ll be lost to each other forever,” he said. “But if we succeed…” He hesitated, as if afraid to voice the hope that bloomed between them.
“What?” she urged.
His lips brushed against hers, a feather-light touch. “If we succeed,” he murmured, “we’ll find eternity. A love that transcends lifetimes.”
Evelyn closed her eyes, surrendering to the enchantment. The café vanished, replaced by a moonlit garden—the same one from her memories. The carousel stood at its center, its wooden horses waiting.
“Will you ride with me?” Alexander asked, his voice raw with longing.
She nodded, her heart soaring. “Always.”
They stepped onto the carousel, its music swelling around them. The painted horses came alive, galloping faster, faster. Evelyn clung to Alexander, their lips meeting in a kiss that tasted of rain and ink.
As they spun, memories flooded back—the forgotten lullaby, the promise broken. And then, in a burst of light, the curse shattered. Sabrina and Alejandro appeared, their eyes wide with wonder.
“You did it,” Sabrina said. “You broke the curse.”
Alejandro’s gaze held Evelyn’s. “Our souls are free,” he said. “We can love without fear.”
And so, they rode—the four of them—through time and space. The manuscript’s ink swirled, rewriting their story. Evelyn’s name echoed in Alexander’s heart, and his in hers.
As dawn painted the sky, the carousel slowed. Evelyn clung to Alexander, tears in her eyes. “I love you,” she whispered.
He smiled, the weight of centuries lifting. “And I, you.”
And in that magical moment, they stepped off the carousel, hand in hand, ready to explore their eternity together.
