Sophie's POV
It wasn't long before the pack warriors came back and confirmed my fears, Keith had gotten away, making his escape over the top of the roof, a feat that hadn't been thought of when the security measures were put into place. His scent was thick across the apartment and Kelly's blood dripped from his tracks. I knew in my heart that I would never get over the smell that had greeted me, would never understand why he had taken a life when he could have left her alone. I was numb and in shock, but the warriors wanted to question me, to find out what was going on.
Tia put a blanket around my shoulders and led me to the kitchen table, standing behind me as she rubbed my shoulders.
