Sophie's POV
Getting to work the next day felt like the first normal thing in a series of odd events. I rode the bus in and didn't see anyone I knew. I got into the studio almost an hour early and had the entire thing set up well before the first class, and has actually finished my morning stretches before the first wolves started filing in for morning Yoga. I could teach this class in my sleep, it was just the routine that I did every single morning for the last 8 years, a nice point of normalcy in my days.
After the first warm up I wandered among the different people, correcting poses, asking a few questions, and generally making sure that everyone was getting as much as they could out of the session. Everyone seemed to be a little out of it, and I supposed that an early morning class wasn't for everyone. Still, Yoga is best practiced before or after other exercise and I considered it a perfect way to open the day. I got to set my schedule so I had a morning and an afternoon Yoga class. After a few months everyone who attended should feel better about their form and should hopefully enjoy themselves a bit more.
I had two hours before my next class so I went ahead and wiped down all of the mats and set out everything for the next class period. All together it only took about 30 minutes to set up for the step aerobics class I was offering, so I started to think of ways to kill time. The building had a nice track and I hadn't been for a run in a while and it would feel good to stretch my legs.
I grabbed my water bottle and closed up the studio, making sure that everything was in place so I could walk in and start teaching if I took a little too long on the track. As I was heading to the stairs to head up the 3 floors to the track I was stopped by an arrogant looking male assistant.
"Are you Sophie?"
"I am, who is asking?" I narrowed my eyes, worried that people were already asking questions.
"The boss wants you upstairs, NOW!" He seemed annoyed and didn't really give me a choice in the matter before he drug me over to an elevator and swiped a card to activate the buttons. We had taken the stairs yesterday, but it made sense that there were elevators that went straight up to the main floor.
I was bodily dragged into the elevator by the sneering man, his demeanor doing nothing to calm me. Did he know something, was Rugal angry with me? I didn't know what was going on and my wolf was whimpering inside. Maybe I was going to be rejected. If I was I found myself wishing that they had waited until I was done with work so I would at least have the weekend to recover and figure out what to do with my life.
The ride wasn't wrong, but by the end of it I couldn't wait to get away from the angry man beside me and I knew I stunk of fear and sadness. Tiny whimpers sounded across my brain as the doors opened and I recognized the floor we had been on the day before. No-one was there to greet us, not a good sign in my mind. The assistant led me the opposite direction from the one we had gone the day before and knocked hard on a door before pushing me inside roughly. I didn't know what I had done wrong, but now I was scared.
I huddled against the door as it slammed shut, not daring to look up. I couldn't help but let out a little whine as I heard Rugal growl from across the room, the sound making it even more clear that something was going to go terribly wrong here.
In an instant he was across the room, grabbing my arm and pulling me into his. I sobbed brokenly as he cradled me to his chest and sniffed my hair. Tiny growls were coming out of his mouth and I shook like a leaf, trying to shrink away while our wolf wanted to grab onto him for support. I didn't know what I had done wrong, but I was terrified. What if he wasn't just going to reject me, but kill me too?
It took me some time to notice that the growling had stopped and he was making soft hushing sounds, rubbing my hair gently and calling me little one. The change was so sudden I didn't know what to make of it. I chanced a look up at his face and noticed that he didn't seem angry so much as concerned. I opened my mouth to ask what was going on but he beat me to it.
"Sophie, what's wrong? Who hurt you?"
I was shocked that he was asking when he had let me be treated so roughly on the way up here. "You sent the angry man for me, are you going to reject me?" I knew I sounded like a petulant child, but I didn't care, I was done being confused.
"What?" He looked genuinely shocked. "Why would I reject you, angry man? You mean Anthony, the assistant?"
I nodded and buried my face against his chest, gulping in his scent as deeply as I could with each breath. The raw masculinity coming off of him was calming and my wolf was now sure that we were safe, my human side just needed to catch up.
Another growl erupted from his throat and I squeaked, pushing my face close to his chest and trying to hide. I didn't think he would hurt me, but an angry Alpha was extremely scary.
"I'll kill him." I startled and looked up at my mate to see pure fury in his eyes. "He is why you were so scared? What did he do?"
"He demanded I come and dragged me here, he didn't say anything other than you were summoning me. I thought you were mad, he... he didn't hurt me, I'm sorry, please don't hurt anyone." I found myself unable to meet his eyes and tucked my face back into his chest, hands grasping at his suit in a way I knew would wrinkle it but I couldn't find it in myself to care.
"He shouldn't have done that, I did ask him to bring you here, but he should know to be gentle with an Omega. He normally only interacts with the warriors of the pack, it's not an excuse but he will be dealt with and will offer you an apology before the day is out." Rugal set his jaw firmly as he said this and then scooped me up, carrying me over to his desk.
He placed me down on top of the desk and helped me clean up my face. I was thankful I didn't really wear makeup and that my hair was up in a tight bun already. A few wipes with a damp towel and my face was just red from tears. After he pulled back to he continued to stare at me, looking almost contemplative at my face and my neck while I remained on top of the desk. I thought he was just going to keep staring when he suddenly moved between my legs, pulling my chin upward with his hand.
His gentle touch sent shivers and sparks through me and I brought my legs around his waist instinctively, pulling him close to me and staring up into his blue eyes that remind me of the sky just before a storm. Everything about this man drives me wild, everything about him screams Alpha. His attention on me is almost too much and I whimper with need as he continues to stare.
So gently I wouldn't have believed it was possible he brought our lips together, his eyes closing as our lips met. The first brush of his lips against mine ignites a fire I have never felt and I throw my arms around his neck, bringing him closer as his hands go under my bum, lifting me slightly so that we are at a better angle. The kiss turns hungry, his lips pressing harder against mine as my mouth opens slightly and he snakes his tongue in to rub lightly against the bottom row of my teeth.
I take a chance and let the tip of my tongue come out to caress his, earning a deep groan from him and a slight growl in the back of his throat. In seconds I find myself laid out on the desk, his hardness pressed against my core as I am still wrapped around him as he ravages my mouth. One hand moves from my bum and squeezes at my thigh, making me open my legs wider, pressing him closer with one of my feet pressed against his lower back. One of my hand travels to the back of his neck and entwines in the hair there.
I can't think and everything smells like him, it feels so good to be held like this, to kiss. I get lost in the sensation when I feel him stiffen, hearing the door opening as we both realize that it wasn't locked. There was no knock and Rugal growls deeply in his throat, quickly pushing me behind him as he meets the gaze of the person at the door.
It's Leyla, who looks amused at Rugal's growl rather than scared.
"I see you started with out me." She quirks one side of her lip and manages to look amused and slightly annoyed at the same time, making me feel scolded.
"Don't stop on account of me," She says and walks over to a dark mahogany and red velvet chair. Her eyes hold a hunger and I know in that moment that these two Alphas will run me ragged, they will be the death of me and it will be the sweetest way anyone has ever gone.
Clearing his throat, Rugal moves away from me and smooths his suit, offering me a hand and leading me to another chair beside Leyla's.
"So Sophie, we called you here to ask you to lunch with us today."
