Sophie's POV
True to his word, Rugal came up and joined me after about 30 minutes. He brought more water and had changed into a pair of swim trunk before coming over to hang out. He didn't pressure me to talk, but instead just sat in companionable silence with me. It took another hour for Leyla to come home, and by that time we had gotten out and gotten dressed after rinsing off. Rugal served up dinner at the breakfast bar and then we retired to the small patio to enjoy a glass of red wine and look up at the stars. The night was peaceful and perfect, so far removed from the day before. Loaf even explored all the way up to the second floor before running away from a confused Patrocles.
