8 I’m not proud of how long I hunched on the corner of my bed trying not to panic, fighting to remember that I wasn’t completely helpless without the library in the phone. After a while I started repeating all the spells I could remember in my head. I got to fifty and started feeling better. I was limited but not helpless. That’s when feeling started to come back to my feet and I decided I needed to get to work before Mom got back from school and inevitably reamed me out about the bake sale money.
