17 I dropped my hands as he said the word. Part of me expected the storm to keep blowing, for us to stay trapped by my own stupid magic. But the spell dissolved, and the mist shrunk into the night as I launched down 10th Avenue after Eric. The people on the sidewalks stared at us as we ran.
