8 My mom didn’t let me go to bed till late that night. We were up sitting on the floor, trying to think of anyone we knew with theatre access who might owe somebody we knew a favor. Finally, I said we could ask my dad to rent her a stage for a day. I knew I shouldn’t have said it, but I was tired and knew it would end the conversation so I could go to bed. I mean, he would have rented her a stage if she asked. But she’d never ask so…gotta love parents who won’t speak to each other.
