RICHARD’S APARTMENT

Leah was standing by the window watching at the wet streets. What rains bring into you? Happiness pain and?? It brought me love. The cold droplets that fell on me were like the cherry blossoms of spring despite the roads will be muddy and blocked rain will stay my true love. Their was a bright smile at leah’s Face. 

Richard was watching Leah enjoying the view “can you blow dry my hairs?” 

“Umm, yeah.” Said Leah moving towards Richard. She took the hair dryer and turned the switch on. She was carefully blowing richard’s hair while Richard was looking at Leah. Her soft hand rubbed his silky hair and then the hot air passed from the hairs. “It’s done” said Leah. Switching off the dryer. 

Richard stand behind Leah like a tall shadow while Leah was plugging out the plug. She turned around and got scared looking at Richard so close. Lost her balance and ended on the floor. The were cLose again. Richard on the top of Leah they both were looking in each other’s eyes. Their breaths were heavy. Richard went down even more. Scared Leah closed her eyes. “I was picking the dryer you fool,” says Richard. His face was red as well. They both stood up quickly maintaining their clothes. Once again saw each other and this time they cracked a shy laughter. They both laughed happily looking at each other and the day went by. 

“The rain has stopped,” said Leah. 

“But, it’s too late now.” Says Richard not wanting her to leave. 

“Un no,” Leah shakes her head stretching out her hand looking into the watch. “It’s just 7:15.”

“Just!!” Yelled Richard.

“Yeah why?” Said lean. 

“It isn’t safe for girls alone at night.” Replied Richard.

“Well I strong enough to knock someone off.” Richard came closer to Leah while she was flaunting her strength. She walk backwards and Richard Came pinning her to the wall. Now it was a dead end “really!?” Said Richard. Leah was mute she dint knew what to say, she tries getting out from left and a straight hand came blocking her way. Same with the right ‘crap’ she said it in her mind. Richard brought his lips forward to the ears as if biting it. “Don’t worry I don’t bite.” He whispered in her ears softly, she was red. Her cheeks were redder then the tomatoes. She looked away never meeting her eyes with him. He chuckled and move aside. “Look at you face silly,” he pats her head and moved “I be making something to eat.”

What was I doing he asked himself. It was close he might have really bite her teeth. Their was a complete silence from Leah. “Here hungry cat.” Said Richard. 

Chuckled Leah “my mom calls me cat.” “Well what do you got to eat?”

“It’s just some sandwiches.” Said Richard “I dint have enough food today sorry.”

“Oh you are forgiven my child.” Chuckled Leah. 

“Don’t mention it people die to have a cotton candy date with me.” Richard compliments his ownself. “You should be happy that you got a sandwich atleast. 

“I am not one off those tasteless bird.” She pouts. They both looked at each other while eating and smiles. 

‘’’date!!!’’’ Their both mind screamed. They shared a lot of things about school days and rubbish. “Well,” said Richard. “I don’t knew that someone like you could have some fun.” 

“Why not?” Asked Leah. 

“You see you are quite and reserved.” Complained Richard. “Even in the work place you don’t have a lot of friend,” you don’t pick up your phone again and again to check grams like us.” “You sound totally different from your story and reality. 

“Well...” sighs Leah. “Things changes with time.” “Their are often mornings you don’t wanna live, often night you wanna dream.” And she smiled a smile that can drop out of the eyes and yell pain.

“Keep on dreaming” said Richard. “Maybe someone is willing to complete your dreams.” Richard meant it as if he was pointing his own self.

“Hmm,” said Leah while eating her sandwich. 

“Did you ever loved someone?” Asked Richard. 

“No, you?” Asked Leah. Looking up at Richard.

“I did, she was a miracle, she was light and she was the only shadow I had but I forgot shadows leaves in the dark.” Richards voice was painful, as if he lived a nightmare back then... “anyways, that was past, and this is present.” He smiled. 

Leah’s PoV 

I somehow was unable to believe the smile he showed. Just a minute ago his smile was never ending and now even tho he smiles it seems as if their no happiness left. His eyes were shinny and now with those sweet teary pearls. I never saw him so sad ever before. He may not be what he seems.

“Can I eat yours.” Leah said diverting the topic. 

“Sure” Richard stood up, “I am not hungry now.” 

“Hmm,” Leah stoop up as well.

“Why ain’t you eating.” Asked Richard. 

“Uh that...” 

“Cut the crap.” Richard hold her hands and made her sit. He took the plate in his hand turning the chair towards leah’s Face. He picked up the sandwich and brought it close to leah’s Mouth and fed her. Leah’s eyes were full and dropped a pearl down.

“Why you crying?” Asked Richard. 

“Oh that...” said Leah was just overwhelmed. 

“Silly.” Smiled Richard and not the painful one....
