Patricia had been having these long talks with Ethan recently, trying to get him to accept Sabrina. He'd finally started to come around a bit, slowly letting his guard down.

Grace looked at him like she’d seen a ghost. “What... what are you doing here all of a sudden?”

Ethan gave her a skeptical look. “I heard Sabrina wasn’t feeling well, so I thought I’d stop by and see how she’s doing. Is she okay?”
“S-She’s at the hospital for a follow-up check. Might not be back for a while. Why don’t you come inside and have a seat?” Grace quickly said, then hurried upstairs to get Amelia Johnson, hoping she could stall Ethan while she found a way to warn Sabrina to get home ASAP.
