Damien Taylor gazed at Amelia Johnson in silence, his eyes warm like gentle waves lapping at the shore. In the end, he simply pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.
"Give me a minute."
With that, Damien stepped out of the room.
Amelia, however, got even more nervous. She figured he must be off to grab protection or something!
Okay, now what should she do?
Shower—yes, a shower! It was super hot anyway, and sweating later would just be awkward. She rushed into the bathroom to freshen up.
Once she finished, Amelia opened the towel bundle and nearly dropped it in shock—it was one of the lingerie sets Evelyn Taylor had given her!
No doubt Evelyn had slipped it in while setting up their room.
