Lucia was doing her work as she was trying to get the plan into motion. She had gathered enough explosives into the building where it’s hidden and no one knows except for her. I have to make sure that everything will be right and I don’t need a thing to distract me from it, Lucia thought before she was looking at the doctor that was sitting across her.
She has to wait for Sean to leave before she can set her escape plan into motion.
Why does he have to come here all the time? She mused before she was smiling at her doctor. Sean was looking at him before he turned to look at her notes in his arms.
Her medical record since she was hospitalized, not to mention his friendly visits every night.
“Okay, so you have none of your episodes this week which is progress that I cannot say how proud I was with your progress, Lucia,” Sean said as he was looking at me with his smirk. God, I wanted to slap that off his face but I have to control it as people were watching, Lucia thought when she was imagining that she was slaughtering the handsome doctor that was in front of her.
“And I must say that your method has been helpful to me,” Lucia said as she was smiling sweetly at him. Sean laughed before he closed the notes at her.
“So, I think it will be a reward for you then,” he said as his eyes were twinkling with lights.
“Why?” Lucia asked as she was taken back by that notion. The young doctor shook his head before he chuckled.
“I think we need to get out for a while. Maybe you will recover better with the natural surrounding,” Sean said as he motioned to the guard so that they will be on standby to grab Lucia if she was having one of her many episodes.
Sean just told her that she was fine for the week and nothing has been happening after that night she spent her bed with Sean. Lucia also knew that her episodes were something else, something that she never told anyone before that her episodes were only acting.
Which means it was fake. Lucia has never been crazy before she was just pretending to be that so she can save herself from going to prison.
How clever of me and now I stuck in this mental hospital that might make me go crazy, Lucia thought before she was looking at her doctor again before she blinked her eyes.
“So, let’s us take this chit chat outside,” Sean said as he opened the door to the garden and Lucia thinks he has lost his mind.
Who lets someone like me go out without chains? Dr. Sean Copper, that’s who, Lucia mused before Sean was offering her his elbow. Lucia took it before she was smiling at Sean. It was a sunny day and everything was fantastic. Lucia has been missing to go out of the prison and the building ever since Leo, her brother, came for a visit, Which was two weeks ago.
This is the first time she went out with someone that was not her family. Is this a date? Lucia asked herself Sean led her outside. They were walking around as she was beside him. The guard was a few steps away from them as the pair were discussing her issue like it was the weather.
Like what normal couple does, only Sean and Lucia were anything but.
“I know what you were planning,” Sean whispered to her as they were on the grass to look at the flower. The guards were searching the area for threats, which was not Lucia, for once. What a good change was that Lucia mused before she was staring at her doctor.
“What do you mean?” She asked him as Lucia was trying to keep the fear of her voice. She knows that Sean will do anything to get it out of her. I need to be in control of this, Lucia mused before Sean was looking at her. The young doctor smirked.
“I saw the C4 in the bathroom. Where did you store it? In the building, hmm? In the cafeteria?” He pushed her as Lucia was rolling her eyes at him. How can this man be a doctor if he thinks that I would be putting my explosive in the cafeteria? Lucia mused before she arched her eyebrow at him.
“Why would I put in the cafeteria? They served the best food after all,” Lucia said sweetly before she was looking around and stood up before the plan was in motion now. They were sitting on an iron-wrought bench before there was a loud explosion.
Sean and Lucia were turning in that direction before she saw smoke and debris was flying around. It was the main building and there was a huge bombing as Sean turned to Lucia with horror on his face.
“What have you done?” He asked her before Lucia was smirking at him. She took a step back before she held her chin up.
“The things that I should have done when I first arrived here, before I was stuck with you,” Lucia said before she was running away from Sean. She was being held by the wrists before Lucia was stumbled on the ground.
If she knows anything about their position right now, it was Sean who was tackling her from behind. He always likes to be in control when they were in bed but this was her chance of getting out of here.
Away from this mental hospital forever.
“Why?” His hot breath was hitting her ear, making Lucia shivered as they were intimately close. Sean locked her hands behind her before Lucia was chuckling like a maniac. The guards were coming at them before Sean was shaking his head.
Luckily, he did not want anyone near them, which was to Lucia's relief.
“Go get help. I will handle my patient myself,” he said as the guards were looking at their intimate position. If Lucia was a shy girl, she would blush but she was not one of those girls and she did not find this intimate.
At all.
“But sir—“ the guard said before Sean was glaring at them. His patience was wearing thin right now as there were screams and shouting in the building and he needed to focus one problem at a time.
And this time, it was Lucia as his main priority.
“Go, now!” Sean shouted before Lucia continued to laugh maniacally. She was turned around by Sean as he was looking at her like Lucia was a nut case. Maybe she was. Lucia just wanted to get more blood on her hands.
And with all those inmates, she did because some of them were not good to her. Only Celine Lebrun and she was in this escape plan with Lucia together.
They have been best friends ever since in that cafeteria.
“You will regret it you ever done that,” Sean said as he took a syringe and he put the stranger clear liquid into Lucia's blood system.
“Ow,” She shrieked as the syringe was inside her and the second it was gone as the young doctor was glaring at her. Lucia wanted to glare back but she felt like she was on the sky right now, flying through the air.
“Come with me,” Sean said as he was dragging Lucia up to stand on her two feet. She was staggering. What the hell did he gave me? Lucia mused before she was looking at Sean. The young doctor just smirked before his mouth was on her left ear.
“You have your own game. I have mine,” Sean whispered before he went to take a car that was parked close to them. He shoved Lucia into the car and strapped her in with the safety chains of a mental person. Lucia might not be responsive like she used to but she was aware of what was happening around her right now.
“Where are we going?” She asked as Lucia can see the drug effect was moving right now. She was seeing colors and the images were in and out of focus. She blinked before Sean was looking at her. He smirked before he closed the door and went to the driver's side. He opened the door and slid inside before he started the ignition.
“To a place that no one will bother us anymore,” he said before he sped off and Lucia was in a trace.
*****
“Have you been doing great?” The boss was asking Sean as he was standing in front of his boss. Sean might be the head of psychiatry but there was no one else on this island who was more powerful than him. The boss that was, which was the director of the mental facility that Sean was working at right now.
“Yes, I have been doing good with my research actually,” Sean said as he was looking at the man in the question. The boss has the same grey eyes as him but that’s where the similarity ended.
“Have you been giving much thought about my proposition?” The boss asked. Sean gulped as he knew the big man wanted the answer today. Sean has been pondering on it for a week and it was always the same conclusion.
“Yes,” Sean said curtly at him.
“And?” The director asked him.
“I will do it,” Sean said even though it was not what he was expecting to say. Maybe I was mad to say yes to his proposal, Sean mused when the images of Lucia smirking at him came into his mind.
Lucy.
Sean shook that thought away before he was looking at his father. The director was pleased to hear that his son was finally going to join his firm after denying it for so long.
And Sean's father can declare him as the heir as well.
But there's a catch, Sean has to marry someone that was destined, or arranged by his father nonetheless before he was named as the heir.
“Excellent, son. Now, why don’t we go meet that bride of yours?” His father said as he was getting up from his chair before Sean stopped him. His father looked at him before Sean was looking at him right now. No backing down now, Sean mused before he took a deep breath and told his father of his schedule today.
“No, I have to go to work. Especially now that I was late, no thanks to my father,” He said as Sean was getting away from him. His father chuckled.
“You were just like your mother, punctual,” he said as he was sipping on his tea. Sean rolled his eyes at his old man.
“Well, that’s that and I was a doctor as well,” he said before his father smirked at him.
“Your mother treats people, she was a surgeon. You do what, exactly? You were talking about the minds, that’s not even being cut on,” his father said as he was scoffing at Sean. Sean knows that his profession was not his father’s choice but it will end soon.
I will make sure that they will, Sean mused as he was gripping his hands into fists.
“Thank you for that encouragement. Now, if you excuse me, I have to cure the mind,” Sean said before he went out of the room.
“Tonight, 8 PM sharp. Don’t be late,” his father shouted at Sean as he was leaving the foyer.
“Well, it’s you actually who was always late,” He mumbled before Sean got inside the car and drove off to see Lucia and helped her carry her plan forward.
I have paid the captain for safe passage and right now, all I have to do was a freaking accident, Sean thought as he was looking at his future bride next to him, high on the drugs that he gave to her. It will be over soon, my love, Sean said as he sighed. He was driving with Lucia on his passenger seat and he was driving like a mad man.
Lucia who was unaware of her surrounding was looking around before she was sitting up straight on the seat, looked terrified.
“Sean, slow down,” Lucy shouted as Sean was dodging some cars as they were on the traffic. Then, his plan has arrived as Sean pushed the accelerator even more.
“Sean! Stop!” Lucy shouted before Sean was determined to be hit. This is for us, for our future together, Lucy, Sean mused before he closed his eyes as the car was going toward the truck that was coming their way. The impact was huge as Sean was looking at his bride.
Everything was in slow motion as he saw Lucy's mouth moving before the sound registered his ears.
“Sean!” Lucy shouted and that was the last thing that Sean heard her voice as they were straddling on the road as they were bleeding to their deaths. Sean hoped the captain did his part. Then, when he was about to close his eyes, the captain and his crew came and take their bodies out of the street and they were never going to see this island again.
