Chapter 4: The Talk

1913 Words
Simone woke up with a start as he heard someone was closing the door loudly. He was rubbing his face as it was only 1 AM. Holy hell! Can you be considerate of others who tried to sleep?! Simone grunted as he was looking at the wall that was opposite to his bed. If Simone remembered correctly, it was Sean’s room. He yawned as he was getting some water for his thirsty throat. Simone was not sleepy as the jet lag has started in his head. He has to do something so that his mind will be tired. Simone drank the water before he settled with his laptop as he was sitting in my bed. Simone opened his files and he went to read about Celine Lebrun. She was a fascinating subject. They never indicate that she was adopted. All Simone knew was that she used her sister, Sabrina, to do her bidding on the experiment but her sister was able to getaway. I wondered if her sister was cursing for Celine for using her in her illegal experiment, Simone mused before he kept on reading and reading until his eyes were tired. Now, he was yawning again as Simone was reading the 5 pages of 22 reports on her. It was long, complicated and not so good. He knows she was not what the media or press has stated in their articles because it was biased. They never heard her story. Maybe I will do that in the morning but for now, Simone has to get some sleep or he might be a walking zombie in the morning. He switched off his laptop before he went to lay in the bed. It was not as comfy as what Simone had grown up with but this will do for now. Maybe I have to get used to it if I ever wanted to stay here after all, Simone mused as he was tucking his hands under his head, looking at the ceiling. When his eyes were closing, the darkness claimed over his body. ***** The sound of the alarm clock was ringing and it hurt Simone’s head. He was groaning before Simone went to switch it off. It was never a good thing to snooze your sleep, one of the advices that he got from Addington, growing up. It will make you even tired and Simone doesn’t want dark circles under his eyes. Simone was out of the bed and took a quick shower. It was refreshing and nice. He was washing his body as the thought of Celine's delicate hands in his mind, tracing his body like it belonged to her. Simone was in the trace as he imagined she was in the bathroom with him, smirking at Simone with her delicate mouth. I wanted to kiss her so bad! Simone mused before he was breathing hard. The seduction and allure from Celine Lebrun was too much for Simone to handle. He jerked from the shower as Simone cannot have his mind distracted right now. He has to stay focus if Simone wanted to stay on this island for more than a month. He has to show that he was good at his work and maybe Sean, the head of psychiatry, will see that and offered him a permanent job. Simone was dressing as he was in a hurry. He was late as Simone was delaying in the shower, trying to get the clean shave that woman liked on his face. Simone hoped that Celine will like it too. He hurried down the long hallway as he was coming in communication with Sean. “Dr. Sean,” Simone said as he was smiling at him. Sean looked at his as he was going to his room. His eyes were red as if he did not get any sleep. Maybe he was stressing out with Lucia, Simone mused before he has to do something that might be awkward for everyone. He has the nerve to ask a personal question for the young doctor which was his boss, sort of. “Are you alright?” Simone asked him as Sean was nodding at him and without another word, walked passed Simone and entered his room. He heard a soft click, an indication that Sean was locking himself in the room. Maybe he stayed up late to do some research, who knows? Simone thought before he shook his head, dismissing any bad thought from his mind. Simone went to the assigned room for his patient as he doesn’t want her to be there before him. It will show that Simone was incompetent to be punctual and everyone knows how Sean liked to keep it on time and punctual. “Well, about time you show up, doctor. I have been waiting for 5 minutes,” her sweet voice was filling his eardrum before Simone turned to look at Celine who was sitting in the table as she crossed her leg over the other at the knee. “Celine, please get off from the table,” he said calmly before Simone went to take his seat with 2 long strides toward her. Her scent was filling the room and Simone knew that he loved it. It was a mixture of apple and peach. What an allure! And a dangerous one at that, he mused before he was looking at Celine with a bored expression on his face. “So, shall we begin, doc, or do you need a minute?’ Celine asked as she was smirking at Simone, looking quite amused by his action. Only Celine did not know how much Simone tried to control his urge to take her nape and kissed her squarely on her lips, putting that smirk away from her delicate lips. “No, let’s begin, shall we?” Simone said indifferently as he took out his notes of her diagnosis. Now, Simone will get the story from her point of view. ***** “So, tell me about your achievement,” Simone asked Celine as he was focusing his violet eyes on her. If anything, it was undressing Celine in an informal way. She cannot concentrate with the heat of his stare at her. Get it together, you i***t. Of course he would be looking at you. You’re a woman, he’s a man. It was natural after all, Celine mused in her head before she was smiling at the young doctor, trying to control the nervousness that was fluttering in her heart. Celine blinked a few times to him as she was mishearing his question. Was he asking to tell him about my achievement? He must be joking with me if anything. No one wants to know what I have accomplished since I was a crazy person, Celine mused but the stare that the young doctor gave to her was telling a different story. “I thought you already know about that,” she said as Celine was crossing her hands in front of her chest. A defensive move, if one was to look closely. “Well, I know all the bad things about you, but the question remains, surely you have achieved something great before you were a rotten egg?” Simone asked as he was looking at her. Celine was gulping as he was telling the truth to that statement. How come you ever ask this question if your intention was to cure me? No one care about me before, Celine mused before she was turning away from his intense stare. “Well, what do you want to know?” She asked him. “Everything if you please,” Simone replied before Celine scoffed at him. “Well, there was nothing much to say. I was a bad egg, remember?” She smirked at him. He nodded as he was hitting his pen at the notes. It was irking Celine to a degree. She wanted his composed posture gone and maybe be undone by her seduction, if he ever find Celine attractive at all. “Well, I was trying to understand you so I don’t think you want to share that with me yet, I understand. It was hard to open up to someone that you don’t trust right? Don’t you trust me, Celine?” Simone asked her as he was looking at Celine. She blinked again as she just heard he called her name for the first time. He never did call my name before. It’s always Ms. Lebrun or ma’am, which was worse than my surname, Celine mused before she was looking at him. Simone chuckled lowly before he was leaning against his chair. “Cat got your tongue, Celine?” He asked as he was smirking at her. Celine blinked again before she turned to look away and cleared her throat. “Well, it was a surprise. You never called my name before,” she said honestly at him. Simone chuckled before Celine turned sharply at him, narrowing her eyes in the process. “I just wanted to show you that you can trust me and you have my word that I will not tell anyone,” he said as he was crossing his heart and hoped to die. Celine rolled at his gesture but a smile was threatening to get on her face. “Whatever you say, Simone,” she said as Celine was smiling as well. Maybe their banter can help to ease the tension that was coming from their time together as the doctor and the patient. Maybe I was hoping to be so much more with him, Celine mused before Simone chuckled again. “Now that’s the first time you ever said my name,” “Was it?” Celine taunted him before he gestured her to tell me about her achievement. “Well, what can I say? I was an orphan as well as my sister. She was the only family that I have. We got separated by the time I was 6 and she was 5 years old. I have been naughty as I wanted to get away from the foster care but every time I did it, we have to move until someone took Sabrina away.” Celine said as she was trying to control her anger. Celine don’t hate her sister but Sabrina has been irritated her. From the start, she was better looking and got all the boys that Celine ever loved when she was living with her again as Celine was being taken by the same foster parents that took Sabrina in because they don’t want them to be separated, and Celine has always been living behind her shadow. I will never forget the feeling of being a shadow of someone else’s, she mused as she was looking at her clasped hands. Celine was aware that the young doctor was looking at her intensely before Celine closed her eyes. She sighed as the painful memory was coming to her mind. She has been declaring that Celine will ruin her sister but instead, she was ruined. Sabrina was better than me, after all, Celine mused before Simone was clearing his throat. Celine opened her eyes and stared at the young doctor. It would seem that he would likely to fall with her sister if she ever show up here, Celine thought before she pushed that thought away. “Is she alive now?” Simone asked her as she was looking at his violet eyes. If Sabrina was here, will Simone look at her like he looked at her? Or will he succumb to her charm as well? Celine did not want to know the answer but somehow her heart wanted to know it as well. “Unfortunately, yes. She is in France while I stuck on this island,” Celine said grimly as she looked at Simone who was amused by her declaration.
