KEEGAN POV There were too many bodies in one damn room. The Alpha Office wasn’t small—hell, it was bigger than most apartments in the pack—but with all four of us crammed inside, plus our mother perched like a queen on the leather chair near the window, it felt like a f*cking shoebox. I was leaning against the far wall, arms crossed, eyes on the door like it might grow teeth and bite someone. Midnight was pacing in my chest, restless, irritated. He didn’t like this waiting. I didn’t either. Kingsley was behind the desk, looking like the goddamn poster boy for alpha authority. He’d already placed the ceremonial knife down on the polished surface, blade gleaming in the dying light slipping through the windows. Like he knew this whole thing was a done deal. Like she was already ours. Kyle
