AUTHOR'S POV. Godfrey ran through the pouring rain, his feet splashing in the muddy ground of the small village. The rain hit his face hard, making it difficult to see, but he kept running, using his palms to cover a little bit of his face. He walked through the wet grass and dirt paths. Tall trees lined the narrow road, their leaves dripping with water, soaked by the heavy rain. His clothes were drenched, clinging to his skin as he hurried past small, wooden houses with tin roofs. He stopped at a house, wiping his face, he glanced around to make sure nobody was there before knocking on the door.
