10 Faith I thought it would take me a while to fall asleep last night, but I passed out the second my head hit the pillow. I woke up with the sun on my face and the sound of birds chirping outside my window. The view of the lake from the window is breathtaking. I don’t know what time Tate wants to leave, so I throw my hair up into a ponytail and dig through my clothes to find a T-shirt and shorts I don’t mind getting ruined with paint. Before I can head downstairs, my phone rings and Laila’s name pops up on the screen. “Hey,” I answer. “Good. You’re awake.” There’s concern in her voice.
