If she had said this to me any other day, I would have jumped for joy but this girl, who was now walking towards me, was visibly shaking with tears rolling down her eyes. For the first time in my life, I didn’t know what to do. This was what I had been trying to avoid for so long. I didn’t know how to care for her as she would want me to. Right now, she was as fragile as an egg and I feared that I would be the one to break her.
“Please can you turn the lights off?” She asked as she entered into the bathroom. I turned off the lights and I could hear her cry harder in the darkness.
