Bang, Bang.

BANG...     My eyes shot open.     BANG.     I bolted up into a sitting position, my breathing erratic.  I looked around, frantically trying to find the man with the gun.  He wasn't there.  I was in my bed, safe inside my room.  I brought my knees up to my chin and rested my head on them.     BANG, BANG.   My eyes darted around again.  It took a few seconds to recognise that the banging wasn't from a gun.  It was coming from the front door.  My senses weren't exactly back from being in sleep land, and I was still breathing quite hard.  It was just a dream I thought to myself, but it all seemed so real.  The music.  The children.  The moon goddess.     BANG. BANG. BANG.     Okay, someone's impatient out there.  I gave my alarm clock the once over, it wasn't even six-thirty yet.  By the sounds of the stomping from the floor below me, and the rush down the stairs to the front door.  Whoever was aggressively knocking at the door had just woken my dad up.  My ears pricked as I heard the key turn in the door.   I know it's wrong to eavesdrop, but when you've got wolf hearing, it can't be helped.     "Oh, um, g-good morning".  This can't be good, my dad never stammers when he talks.     "It took you long enough Omega", I heard an aggravated voice sneer.  "Do you know why I'm here?" the voice asked.  I'm just gonna assume my dad must have nodded yes to the question because the sneery voice continued to speak.      "Where is she?"   She?  s**t, they mean me.  My stomach knotted.     "My daughter is upstairs Delta".  My dad's voice sounds so timid.     "Go and get her" there was command in the voice, my neck instantly became weighted, my head automatically lowering in semi-compliance.  Esti, however, was growling, fighting hard against the submit command.  Her defiance was painful.  I had to beg her to stop so I could concentrate on what was being said downstairs.     "Are you deaf Omega? I said go and get her!"     "She i-is sleeping".  My dad stammered again.     There was a brief moment of silence, then a distinctly audible thud.  A burning sensation shot along the right side of my cheek towards my eye.  I brought my hand up to my face and bit down on my lip to avoid crying out in pain.  What the hell was that?  Esti was growling low in a deep corner of my mind.     "I didn't ask you if she was awake, I told you to go and get her".  Hearing the venom in the voice below made me want to run down to my dad, putting myself in between him and the so-called Delta I could hear.     "Fine" the voice huffed.  "I'll just go get her myself.  Which room?".     My dad gave no answer.     "Which room?"  It wasn't a question being asked, it was another command.     "Attic" I heard my dad say weakly. Heavy footsteps began to quickly move up the stairs.  I froze, my hand still clutching the side of my face.  It took the voice less than a minute to climb the two flights of stairs to get to my room.  I kept my eyes on the door handle.     I was prepared for the door to come flying off its hinges, but it didn't.  Instead the door opened in a shockingly civilised manner.  I heard the owner of the voice enter my room, but I couldn't see him properly.  All I could see was a human-shaped blob of red coming closer to me.  Esti's hackles raised.
