Jasmine’s POV
I stirred slowly, blinking against the morning light. When my eyes fully opened, Adonis was already awake, lying on his side and watching me. His hand moved in slow, gentle circles over my stomach.
“Have you been watching me this whole time?” I asked, trying to sit up.
“Yes. You look so beautiful and peaceful when you sleep. I couldn’t look away.”
“You just noticed that today?” I teased him lightly.
He chuckled and ran his tongue over his lower lip. “No. Today just feels different. After last night.” He cupped my face with both hands. “Thank you for letting me in. I love you so much, Jasmine.”
I leaned forward and hugged him. The words I love you stayed stuck in my throat. I was glad he didn’t push for them. For now, the hug was enough.
