EP 5: THE NIGHTMARE THAT RUINED MY NIGHT

1037 Words
ALEXIA POV Bethany has been away for quite a long time. "Is everything okay in there?" I started to worry about her as she took a little more time to come back. I decided to search for her, but soon she came back. "What took you long?" I asked her. "Nothing. I forgot the way." She laughed slightly and invited me to come to her house. First, I refused but, then I gave up because she was too stubborn to say no. When we arrived, no one was home. "So, how did you met Covi?" she asked. "Godwin? He helped me fixing my boat the last time we met. Then we started to meet often on islands." "I see. Can you tell me more about the full moon celebration? Come and sit here." I sat down next to her and started my answer. But then, the main door opened and, Godwin entered the house with Sam. We made eye contact. That moment was like a bolt from the blue. That was the first I had visions of Godwin and me standing at a lake. Behind Godwin, there was a silhouette that was aiming an arrow at Godwin. Before I could see that clearly, someone shook me up and, it was Bethany. COVINGTON POV The moment I saw her again, it was a perfect storm. Her sparkling purple eyes, which had hidden many things, started to tell me a story, a story of her and me. She stood silent and, her eyes got teary. Bethany shook her and, she came to her sense. "Is everything alright?" Bethany asked. "Yes, I'm fine." "You look a little pale. Is anything going on?" Sam asked. "Yes, you guys don't have to worry about it. It's getting late outside. I should leave now. See you all on the celebration day." She said and hurriedly left the house. "Hey, Win, what was that? Don't you think something is going on with her?" Sam asked me. "When I met her just now, I heard a voice saying, "promise me that you would never do that." Also, there was an image of her holding the cliff of a mountain. She was a different person in there. I think there is something connected to us. I saw her eyes got teary. Does that means she also has seen something?" Sam looked confused and said, "shall we meet the fortune-teller tonight? We might get some information from him." "That sounds good. Let's go." We were about to go, but Bethany stopped us. "Guys, don't you think a little late to go out now? Just meet him in the morning. Morning you can talk to him longer. We agreed and decided to go tomorrow morning. THIRD PERSON POV When the night falls deep, Bethany left home. She headed to the mountain which she told earlier about to the fortune-teller. The time when she arrived, the fortune-teller is no more. Her master was waiting for her to ask her a few things. Her master gave away some secrets to her as a cat got out of the bag. With the secrets she knew on that night, she went home without no one knowing. In the morning, the sun rose. A piece of news was waiting for them. COVINGTON POV We went to bed after the talk. I couldn't sleep because the voice kept on coming into my head. I heard the sound of windows flapping. There was no wind. I stood up and went to close the window. Then, I tried to sleep again. Soon I fell asleep. I had a weird dream. IN COVINGTON DREAM There was a tree behind an abandoned house. Near the tree, he saw Samuel and Alexia playing happily. "If I can, I promise you I will take care of you if we reincarnate in this world." Alexia's smile grew longer. Her eyes sparkled. From far away, there was a rabbit, hopping towards them. Alexia tried to catch it but couldn't. Before they got closer to it, the rabbit turned into a human. It was a girl. He couldn't see her face nor hear her voice. The girl had a powerful aura and was wearing accessories made up of diamonds. She moved towards Alexia, but Samuel blocked her way. "Run Sophia or, she will get you!" He said. "I'm not leaving you! Come with me, let's go to the prince. He will help us." She said. "That's not going to happen! Before she gets you, run, please!" She gave up and ran from there. The girl who was a rabbit spoke something to Samuel, but Covington couldn't hear them. In a blink, the lady stabbed Samuel. Blood flooded the place. The lady disappeared. Covington woke up. SAMUEL POV "Sam!" Someone shouted my name in the middle of the night. It was Covi. "Hey! What happened? Nightmare?" I asked him. "Are you still alive?"He asked. "What the hell? How dare you ask me this kind of question? That too, in the middle of the night?" I asked him in anger. "Not like that. I had a dream of you and Alexia playing under a tree. A girl came in the disguise of a rabbit. She stabbed you and, you died on the spot." He explained. "Did Alexia ran away?" I asked, and he nodded. Expected! "It's nothing, don't worry. Get back to sleep. You must be thinking about the voice and the vision you had. That had led you to a nightmare. That's it." I said and tried to calm him down. "Hmm, okay. Where is Bethany? Is she asleep?" he asked. She is, I guess. Get back to sleep. Let's talk in the morning." I said and waited for him to fall asleep. After he fell asleep, I went to check Bethany. She wasn't in her room. I looked for her everywhere, but she was nowhere to found. I gave up and went to sleep. THIRD PERSON POV Samuel went to bed with many questions on his head. Covington felt that nightmare had a meaning behind it. With a belief in it, they both went to sleep. Bethany came home with many secrets and waiting for the golden moment to give it all away.
