THIRD PERSON POV
The four of them left the place after hearing what they need to do. Everyone except Bethany was in deep thinking. That lady's commentary made them get suspicious among them. Samuel, who had a little doubt about Bethany, decided to stick to that. They stopped in front of a bar to have a drink. Bethany excused herself when they entered the bar.
BETHANY POV
I felt mixed feelings. My master told me he would take care of me, but everything turned upside down because of the lady. The rest of them decided to go to the bar and, I excused myself from them. I went to the dead fortune-teller's house to get my rubies. No men were guarding the house, so I entered the house. I searched for the rubies, but it wasn't there. "Where did it go?" I mumbled to myself. Suddenly, I heard people talking from the other side of the house. I made myself disappear and made no sound. "We have seen it, but now it's not here. What should we do now? If the chief founds about this, we are dead meat! Did you forgot about his temper!? He is surely going to make our ears bleed. Let me get ready for it," one of them said. "That's the main lead in this murder. We still don't know who killed him, either why. We have to found the rubies to get the murderer," another one lamented. Someone called them out and, they went out from there.
The truth about the rubies went missing made me go mad. "Who have the guts to take it? Don't they know they will die if they have it? If someone has taken it, the person must be some big one. I should tell this to master." After I talked with myself, I went back to the bar. I tried to contact the master, but I couldn't. When I found them in the bar, they seem to have a serious talk. I went to sit beside them. They stopped talking. Wth!? Does that mean they were talking about me? Or something related to me? "let's get moving guys. We have many things to get done", Covi said and everyone started moving. "I have things to get done, so I will leave guys," Alexia said and, parted ways from them.
COVINGTON POV
We entered the bar and ordered drinks for ourselves. Sam started talking first. "Guys, I have been suspicious of Bethany. What you guys think about it?" Lexi stopped drinking and said, "according to what the lady said, Bethany might be the one who knows about everything. We three don't know about it, that's why we went to the fortune-teller." "Also, yesterday night when we woke up, I searched for Bethany, but she wasn't there. Today when we went to meet the fortune-teller, she was so happy but didn't know about what". Sam added. While listening to them, I had a feeling of someone watching over us. But I ignored it and ordered another drink. While waiting for the drink, I pulled out some red rubies from my pocket. "Hey, where did you get that from?" Sam almost screamed. "Aren't these are the ones from the dead fortune-teller's house", Lexi asked while her eyes grew bigger. "It is" I answered simply. They both kept staring at me and the rubies as I cleaned them kept back inside my pouch.
"Listen up guys, as the lady said, one of us knew about our past birth. It might be Bethany because she always goes outstation compare to us. Also, we need to find the owner of these rubies. Remember? Yesterday Lexi was the dead man's first customer, and we are the last one. We went back again to talk to him, but he closed his shop and went out. If there is a way to get into the house without being noticed by the men outside, we have to find it. We need to collect some information about these rubies. Then only we can approach the owner of them. If not we might lose our lives as the fortune-teller. Lexi, you work on remembering your past. As in my dream, you and Sam must be siblings. He died to save your life. Don't ever neglect your dreams. It might give you a clue. Sam, we have to meet the lady again to find out about the rabbit-turned lady. She might be the answer to our problem. I will keep these rubies until we found about them. Also, Sam, we need to work on our past lives as well. Always keep in mind, if Bethany is the reason for our lives turned upside down, then we should work faster without her knowing. If she gets to know it, we might lose this time too." As I was talking, Lexi signaled me about Bethany coming towards us. I dropped the talk and finished my drink. We left the place soon after Bethany arrived. We parted our ways from the bar. I took a glimpse of Bethany's face. She looked shocked and confused at the same time. I thought she might doubt us if we ignore her. So, I decided to talk with her. Before me, Sam started.
SAMUEL POV
I decided to talk with Bethany to avoid unnecessary doubts. "Hey, Bethany, where did you go just now?" I asked her, but she didn't answer me. It seemed like she was thinking about something. "Hey, what happened?" I asked while shaking her shoulders. "Nothing. Did you asked something?" she answered me with a question. "Nothing. Let's get home before nightfall." Covi covered up for me. We reached home and, had dinner together. After a little talk, we when to bed. The day felt so tiresome as many things were running in my head.
THIRD PERSON POV
The day came to an end by the set of the sun. Many things happened today, and Alexia couldn't sleep that night. She kept on thinking what the lady fortune-teller said. Without her realizing it, she believed that Covington is her life partner. While thinking about Covington, she fell asleep. The rest of them also fell asleep soon. They had a beautiful night and the next day waited for them to give more surprises.
